| Day 02 |
Darjeeling (2134 m) |
| |
Very early morning proceed for excursion to Tiger Hill to witness the Sun rise over Mt. Kanchenjunga Range of mountains. Return to Darjeeling visiting Ghoom Monastery enroute. Enjoy Toy Train ride (now a World Heritage entity). Afternoon sightseeing of Darjeeling.

| Day 03 |
Darjeeling - Pemayangtse – Yoksum (1780 m) |

Drive to Pelling. Visit Pemayangtse Monastery. Later drive to Yoksum - The oldest capital of Sikkim. Yoksum is the base for Dzongri Trek. Overnight stay in hotel / camp. |

| Day 04 |
Yoksum - Sachen (2200m): 4 hrs walk |
| |
The first day trek starts at Yoksum. The trail undulates through moss laden forests of oak, chestnut, pine, firs, magnolia and rhododendron. It is really a botanist‘s paradise. Here in this forest hundreds of varieties of wild orchids vie for attention with similar number of different kinds of birds and butterflies. Some of the animals that are found at various altitudes on this trail, are the Himalayan brown bear, black bear, barking and musk deer, sambar, marble cat, Tibetan antelope, wild goats and red pandas. The trail crosses 2 side streams over sturdy wooden bridges and then finally to the campsite at Sachen. (Overnight Camp) |

| Day 05 |
Sachen - Tsoka (3005): 4-5 hrs walk |

Slowly descend through the dense forest and cross the Prekchu river. Then after an hour’s ascent up the opposite bank the forest opens up at Bakhim. En route to Bakhim you are likely to encounter herders with their yaks and cows. The trail finally leads us to a tiny Tibetan village of Tsoka where we get an excellent view of Mt. Pandim. | Day 06 |
Tsoka - Dzongri (4030m): 4 hrs walk |

The trail ascends right amidst an exclusive and bewitching forest of rhododendron to break the tree line at Deorali (4000m) (highpoint) decorated in auspicious prayer flags. From here you can get spectacular views of Kanchenjunga, Sinolchu, Kabru, Pandim, Jopino, Kokthang, Talung and Narsing. The trail now rides the forest covered in yellow and violet rhododendrons before descending slightly to Dzongri. (Overnight Camp) |

| Day 07 |
A day at Dzongri |

A day at Dzongri to explore around and acclimatization. Wake-up tea at 4 am and climb Dzongri view point (one hour) gaining 200m for an unforgettable close up view of the mighty Kanchenjunga and other Himalayan peaks. After breakfast excursion up to Dzongrila pass. (Overnight Camp) |

| Day 08 |
Dzongri – Thangsing (3850m): 4 hrs walk |

The trail descends approx 350m steep down to Kokchurung at the bank of River Prekchu. After crossing the river it is a gradual climb to the grassy pastures of Thangshing. The southern ridge of Kanchenjunga and the Onglathang glacier are visible directly ahead and there are close-up views of Pandim. (Overnight Camp) |

| Day 09 |
Thangsing – Lamini (4000m): 3 hrs walk |

The trail is a slight climb and it passes along the banks of the Prekchu river and the moraines, a pleasant walk below the west side of Pandim, through dwarf azaleas and rhododendrons. On arrival at campsite, climb up to the shores of the Samity lake; reputed to be the sacred source of the Prekchu river. Ringed by prayer flags, the lake reflects Forked Peak, Kabru North, Gochela Peak and other snow-capped peaks. Return back to Lamini. (Overnight Camp) |

| Day 10 |
Lamini – Goechala (4950m) – Lamini): 7 hrs walk. |

Wake up early in the morning at around 3:30 am and walk up to Gochela. The trail is steep and passes through the moraines of Mt. Pandim to reach the first view point to witness an awesome sunrise. The trail descends to a flat and sandy area of Zemathang and then slowly climbs up to Gochela pass. From here you get a close view of the massive Mt. Kanchenjunga (8585m), the third highest mountain in the world. This is the highlight of the entire trek, an unforgettable and mystic experience which will last a life time, where all the hardships faced during the trek suddenly seems to have a gratifying significance. Lamini – Kokchurung (3500m): 4 hrs walk |

The trail is easy and slightly downhill where the beauty of Alpine trees and rhododendron forest against the backdrop of the mountains can be thoroughly enjoyed. The trail leads us to Kokchurung a campsite on the bank of River Prekchu. (Overnight Camp) |

| Day 12 |
Kokchurung – Bakhim (2800m): 6 hrs walk |

The trail is uneven through forests up to Phedang and then downhill to the one-house settlement of Bakhim. (Overnight Camp) |

| Day 13 |
Bakhim – Yoksum: 6 hrs walk |
| |
Trek back to Yoksum. End of Trekking. (Overnight camp/hotel) |

| Day 14 |
Yuksum – Gangtok (1800m): 6 hrs drive |
| |
Drive to Gangtok, the present day capital of Sikkim. On the way visit Bon Monastery which was built by Lama Yung Drung Tsultrim to spread the teachings of Lord Tonpa Shenrab Mibo. The Bon religion was founded eighteen thousand and fifteen years ago by Lord Tonpa Shenrab and was the principal religion of Tibet before the arrival of Buddhism. (Overnight hotel) |

Gangtok |

Full day sight seeing. Excursion to Rumtek Monastery and Research Institute of Tibetology. After lunch, visit Govt. Institute of Cottage Industry (Handicraft Centre), Flower Show and Enchey Monastry. Evening walks to the local market. (Overnight hotel) |

Gangtok - Kalimpong (1220m): 4 hrs drive |

Kalimpong is a small sleepy hill resort where people come to relax. Afternoon half day city tour which includes Durpin Monastery and flower nurseries. Evening walk around local market. (Overnight hotel) |

Kalimpong - Bagdogra |

Transfer to Bagdogra airport. Fly to Kolkata or Delhi |
